Four-Fingered Thad is a weapon vendor in Smuggler's Rest. He sells his weapons at a deep discount to new adventurers in Smuggler's Rest. He is the goal of a quest, but his main purpose is to give the character an opportunity to buy a non-magical, non-Masterwork weapon that he didn't start with, and to do so at a deep discount. Each character starts with an edged weapon, a blunt weapon, and a ranged weapon, but some characters will need a different weapon. Due to the scarcity of money-earning opportunities in Smuggler's Rest, characters will usually only be able to afford one weapon.
The NPC will follow the character to Stormreach Harbor, but will lose a finger and raise his prices on the way, becoming Three-Fingered Thad, now only visible via a Guild Airship amenity.
