Nibelung

With over 11K edits spanning back over the last 13.77 years, I would like to nominate Nibelung (Contribs • Message) for bureaucrat should he wish to accept it.

I agree.

I agree (if my vote counts on this).

Thanks for the nomination. I have one question: What exactly is the difference between SysOp and Bureaucrat, responsability-wise?
Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 07:05, December 15, 2013 (EST)
Being a bureaucrat gives you extra tools that are very useful in fighting vandalism and spam issues on the wiki. It allows you to check a user's IP addresses and other information and delete and undelete specific revisions of pages without deleting the whole page (things that would be inappropriate to leave in the page's history like a copyright violation). It also allows you to rename users and promote or demote users to or that are in the system operator, bureaucrat, or DDO wiki VIP groups. This is very useful if someone asks you for a username change or if you see that a user has made close to or over a hundred edits and want to help them out and get rid of the CAPTCHA checks for every edit they make (and make it so there is no little !). As far as responsibility goes, just don't abuse the tools renaming people that didn't ask for it or promoting people that aren't yet qualified or haven't met the threshold for promotion as described by the guide. THre is no requirement to do any extra work. You do have enough support here to promote you if you would like these extra tools. Smile ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 07:53, December 15, 2013 (EST)
Seconded, too. Aldyron (ContributionsMessage) 08:14, December 15, 2013 (EST)
Thanks. Those being the only changes, I totally accept the new toys, and promisse to not abuse them when someone is looking. Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 12:13, December 15, 2013 (EST)
