Name: Colam Mersein

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Bestows Quest(s): The Missing Party, Free Delera

Location: Delera's Graveyard

Delera's Graveyard[edit]

If you try to talk to him at any time, besides the ones listed below, he will reply:

  • Colam Mersein: May the light of the Silver Flame be with you.

After starting the Delera's Tomb arc, he will reply:

  • Colam Mersein: The Silver Flame illuminates our paths, even in the darkest of times.

After completing The Mystery of Delera's Tomb, he will reply:

  • Colam Mersein: What questions do you bring for this adept of the Silver Flame?
  • You: We found a note in Delera's Tomb that was left behind by another party. It suggests that someone has raised Delera's ghost for evil purposes.
  • Colam Mersein: These are dire tidings. We sent a party to investigate Delera's Tomb, but it never returned. The lead cleric in that party was a stout believer named Jael. He was instructed to keep a journal throughout the expedition, and I doubt not that he followed his orders. If you find and bring us that journal, perhaps we'll learn more about this situation. You will, of course, be rewarded.
  • You: I would gladly help, but the tomb is infested with ghostly red skeletons of a kind I've never seen. They seem immune to ordinary weapons.
  • Colam Mersein: Then you must brandish an extraordinary weapon! I possess a club that has been blessed by the Silver Flame and inscribed with symbols of power. It will damage any but the foulest of abominations. I offer this weapon to you, with the understanding that you must only wield it in the service of the good and true.
  • You: I accept your holy weapon and shall wield it truly. (Advance quest)

After you complete The Missing Party, he will tell you:

  • Colam Mersein: You're back in one piece. The Silver Flame shines on us today. Did you happen upon Jael's diary?
  • You: Yes, I found his journal. I believe Jael and the rest of his party were murdered by the ghost of Delera herself. She may have been a force for good once, but now she's under the sway of evil. She tried to kill us all.
  • Colam Mersein: A woman of such tremendous will, now bound by dark magic... how terrible! I can tell you how to undo this evil. Descend into the entrance at the side of Delera's Tomb that leads to Delera's Chamber. Next, open the five Soul Locks that were created to protect Delera's spirit from harm. You will not be able to defeat Delera until you disable them all. With the Soul Locks open, destroy Delera's shade, and she will be released from her torment. And ours.
  • You: I will carry out this duty. (Advance quest)

On completion of Free Delera, he will congratulate you with the following:

  • Colam Mersein: You have returned! I confess that I expected you to perish before you laid Delera's shade low. Does this mean that the woman's spirit is finally free?
  • You: Free, but not yet departed. Delera's spirit still clings to this world. She mentioned a man named Hargo Kimmare....
  • Colam Mersein: Only a soul with Delera's iron will could stay on this plane after all we've done to send her hence. Since you have freed her from the necromancer's grasp, will you also return to Derek and ask him about this Hargo Kimmare? I would fain see the good lady resting in peace.
  • You: She deserves peace. I will speak with Lord Grospic about Hargo Kimmare. (Advance quest)
