Channel Power

Channel Power

  • Usage: Passive
  • Prerequisite: Level 22

Description

After blocking with an Orb or Staff for at least 3 seconds, you gain a +100 Competence Bonus to Universal Spell Power and +4 to Spell DCs for 3 seconds.

Notes

  • After blocking for the required amount of time, a blue circle will appear on the ground around your character. The Channel Power effect is applied for 3 seconds after you release the block.
  • There is no requirement to actually block any incoming attacks or engage in combat. Adopting the block posture for 3 seconds in an empty room will trigger the buff.
  • It does not give competence bonus to Universal Spell Power but to each Spell Power instead.
  • Tip: It is still possible to cast spells while blocking and is often beneficial to do so as it can trigger defensive effects such as Block Energy or Pale Master: Cloak of Night. Therefore this feat is powerful for any caster who can stand still for 3 seconds at a time.
