Bleed

From DDO wiki
(Redirected from Bleeding)
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Bleed / Bleeding damage affects only targets with blood. Other targets, such as constructs or undead, are immune. Bleed effects in game vary. Some deal the damage immediately, some deal damage over time. The damage uses the bane/untyped damage type icon.

The game seems to define "vulnerable to bleeding" rather more broadly than might be expected. For example, Will-o'-Wisps take bleeding damage. It's possible that all non-construct, non-undead targets are affected, regardless of whether their creature type would be expected to have a blood system.

As for weapon enchantments, as of 2023, Bleeding is the newest variant of this enchantment. Unlike its predecessors, it's scaling with item level. Older enchantments are still found on many named and crafted items and legacy random loot.
