Upper Necropolis[edit]

If you try to talk to her while at level 9 or lower, she will reply:

  • Bittany Devile: Bittany looks you over cautiously and wonders if she can trust you.

If you are at level 10 or higher, however, she will reply:

  • Bittany Devile: Bittany looks you over cautiously and wonders if she can trust you.
  • You: Uhhh... yes?
  • Bittany Devile: Sorry, I am not quite sure that you are up to the task. The Glacial Abyss beneath the Tree of Woe is not to be explored by amateurs. I don't feel comfortable sending you.
  • You: You do not think I am up to the task? You are sorely mistaken.
  • Bittany Devile: Well, legend tells of a powerful guardian held hostage within its frigid confines. This guardian is not to be trifled with, especially by the likes of you.
  • You: Now you listen here, I am more than an adequate adversary for this guardian.
  • Bittany Devile: Then prove your worth. Go explore the Glacial Abyss beneath the Tree of Woe, find and attempt to defeat its guardian. Come back to me afterward, if you survive.
    • You: I will survive just to see the look on your face. (Bestow quest)

Talking to her after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make she say:

  • Bittany Devile: Please don't give me any reason to doubt your abilities.
  • You: I won't.

On completion of quest, she will congratulate you with the following:

  • Bittany Devile: Oh dear, you ran away before you even attempted it? I knew sending you on this task was a terrible idea.
  • You: Why are you always so negative? I did just as you asked.
  • Bittany Devile: Me, negative? Surely you have mistaken me for somebody else. I don't have a negative thought in my mind. Why would you dare make such a preposterous claim? I am a positive...
  • You: You interrupt her, I positively know that you owe me a reward.

After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to her again, she will reply:

  • Bittany Devile: I won't.
