Components:	VerbalVerbal: A verbal component is a spoken incantation. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot act or speak. Certain rare spells, such as Silence Creature, may temporarily disable spells that require verbal components., SomaticSomatic: A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot move causing arcane spell failure resulting in a ruined spell. Spells without a somatic component may be used with disregard to Arcane Spell Failure chance. Note - that characters make the same arm gestures for most spells in DDO, so you can't tell which spells require this component by watching your character's animations., Divine FocusDivine Focus: A divine focus component is an item of spiritual significance. The divine focus for a Cleric, Favored Soul, or Paladin is a holy symbol appropriate to the character’s faith. This has no gameplay applications in DDO, as all characters are always considered to be carrying a divine focus component at all times and it does not require a inventory slot.

Description

Bane fills your enemies with fear and doubt. Each affected creature takes a -1 penalty on attack rolls and a -1 penalty on saving throws against fear effects. Bane counters and dispels Bless.

Notes

• If you have Enhanced Shadowform II from Dark Apostate, Bane no longer has a saving throw.
• If you have Pray for Mercy from Dark Apostate, Bane now resonates with Evil energies, dealing 1d4 Evil damage per caster level to all enemies. This damage is doubled against enemies that are Cursed.
• If you have both Pray for Mercy and Shadows of Death from Dark Apostate, Bane deals 1d6 Evil damage per caster level to all enemies. This damage is doubled against enemies that are Cursed.
• Bug: This spell doesn't require any Material component but accepts Eschew Materials metamagic.
