Difference between accounts

• VIP subscribers are accounts that pay the monthly subscription fee. These were formerly known as DDO subscribers.
  • As of March 2015, the subscription price is $14.99 (USD) per month.
  • Multiple-month plans are also offered at rates of $29.97 (USD) per 3-month, $59.94 (USD) per 6-month, $99.00 (USD) per 12-month (+3 free months during periodic sales), billed at the beginning of each term.
    • Pricing may vary for European customers.
• Premium Account accounts are accounts that have registered a retail account key (i.e. "bought something" from the DDO Market with real-life currency). This can include purchasing at least one month of VIP status in the past.*

(* Note that current VIP members are not Premium.)

• Free To Play accounts are accounts that have downloaded DDO for free and have not purchased any content with real world money.

Notes

• Additional Character Slots may be purchased from the DDO Store by all accounts.
• Premium Races and Classes are unlocked account-wide when purchased with DDO Points, or per server when unlocked with favor.
• Base Adventure Difficulty: True Reincarnated characters may unlock hard difficulty regardless of account type. Characters who have True Reincarnated twice or more may unlock elite and reaper regardless of account type.
• You will get a "You cannot post or bid on any more auctions." error when you reach the 50 auction limit. This error does not go away until some auctions are removed (sold, expired, or canceled).
• Gold storage is technically limited to approximately 4.3 million pp per character for all accounts. A Free To Play account would have the same limits as any other account at Character Level 13.
• Premium accounts have Full Customer Service for a number of days after a purchase of DDO Points (posted 03-12-2010, 11:03 AM EDT (GMT-4)):
  • $1.00 – 15 days
  • $14.99 – 30 days
  • $30.00 – 90 days
  • $60.00 – 180 days
  • $100.00 – 365 days
• DDO Points per Month - 500 for VIPs: This is sometimes increased to 1000 per month, but only for limited time promotions. Check the official site for information on if this promotion is currently active or not. Official DDO Site Link
• Artificer: Unlike the Favored Soul class, which is unlocked with a total of 2500 overall total favor, Artificer is unlocked with only House Cannith favor.
