Way of the Faithful Hound
The Way of the Faithful Hound improves a Monk's Listen skill and improves their ability to hit flanking opponents with each upgrade.
This enhancement is available for any Monk at level 2 and does not require choosing a philosophy. This particular enhancement may stack with the use of the Two Weapon Fighting family of feats, improving a Monk's success in powerful off-hand attacks from surrounding enemies, making a Monk a more powerful fighter. The Listen skill is less useful, depending on the quest, but in combination with Hide and Move Silently, it could help a Monk in tasks that require some stealth.
Way of the Faithful Hound I[edit]
- Usage: Passive
- AP Cost: 1 action point
- Progression: 3 action points
- Available to Monk class level 2
Like a hound, you are ever vigilant and at home amidst the pack. You gain +1 to your Listen skill and a +2 bonus to hit flanked opponents. You may only study one animal path.
Way of the Faithful Hound II[edit]
- Usage: Passive
- AP Cost: 2 action points
- Progression: 14 action points
- Requires All of: Way of the Faithful Hound I
- Available to Monk class level 5
Like a hound, you are ever vigilant and at home amidst the pack. You gain +2 to your Listen skill and a +3 bonus to hit flanked opponents.
Way of the Faithful Hound III[edit]
- Usage: Passive
- Cost: 3 action points
- Spent: 33 action points
- Requires All of: Way of the Faithful Hound II
- Available to Monk class level 10
Like a celestial hound, you are ever vigilant and at home amidst the pack. You gain +3 to your Listen skill and a +4 bonus to hit flanked opponents.
Way of the Faithful Hound IV[edit]
- Usage: Passive
- AP Cost: 4 action points
- Progression: 52 action points
- Requires All of: Way of the Faithful Hound III
- Available to Monk class level 15
Like a celestial hound, you are ever vigilant and at home amidst the pack. You gain +4 to your Listen skill and a +5 bonus to hit flanked opponents.
