Way of the Clever Monkey
The Way of the Clever Monkey improves a Monk's saving throws against traps, adds to their Haggle skills and gives them natural Energy Resistances across the board.
This enhancement is available for any Monk at level 2 and does not require choosing a philosophy. This particular enhancement does not aid in ki or HP, and may be best used for multiclassing players, specifically Rogues, who opt to learn two Monk levels and want to further improve their protections.
Way of the Clever Monkey I[edit]
- Usage: Passive
- AP Cost: 1 action point
- Progression: 3 action points
- Available to Monk class level 2
Like a monkey, no trap in the world can catch you. You gain +1 to your Haggle skill and all saves against traps, as well as energy resistance 2. You may only study one animal path.
Way of the Clever Monkey II[edit]
- Usage: Passive
- AP Cost: 2 action points
- Progression: 14 action points
- Requires All of: Way of the Clever Monkey I
- Available to Monk class level 5
Like a monkey, no trap in the world can catch you. You gain +2 to your Haggle skill and all saves against traps, as well as energy resistance 4.
Way of the Clever Monkey III[edit]

- AP Cost: 3 action points
- Progression: 33 action points
- Requires All of: Way of the Clever Monkey II
- Available to Monk class level 10
Like a celestial monkey, no trap in the world can catch you. You gain +3 to your Haggle skill and all saves against traps, as well as energy resistance 6.
Way of the Clever Monkey IV[edit]
- Usage: Passive
- AP Cost: 4 action points
- Progression: 52 action points
- Requires All of: Way of the Clever Monkey III
- Available to Monk class level 15
Like a celestial monkey, no trap in the world can catch you. You gain +4 to your haggle skill and all saves against traps, as well as energy resistance 8.
