Melee class

A melee class is a class that is derived from D&D's traditional Fighter class.
In DDO, the following classes are considered melee classes:
- Barbarian
- Fighter
- Monk
- Paladin
- Ranger - Although the character creation screen categorizes this class as "Specialist", Rangers are as capable of melee combat as any other class on this list. Furthermore, in DDO, even Rangers have a difficult time being effective with ranged attacks due to the relatively low damage output and aggro issues of those weapons.
