Overview[edit]

Devoted to the sword and the art of song, these bards are able to extend the duration of their song effects and can enthrall multiple enemies at once, virtually paralyzing them.

  • Your studies into song have granted you a +2 bonus to your Diplomacy, Listen, Perform skills, 3 extra uses of Bardic Music per rest, and the ability to extend the duration of your beneficial songs by an additional 10%. Enthrallment[edit]

  • Enthralled enemies are fascinated, Perform check as the Will save DC, with a chance of breaking free when damaged, and suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls and Will saves for 24 seconds plus 6 seconds per level, even after being disrupted from their reverie. Consumes one use of bardic music. Note: Despite stating that enemies are fascinated, they aren't susceptible to the Suggestion Song.

Bard Virtuoso II[edit]

  • Usage: Passive
  • Cost: 2 action points
  • Progression: 42 action points
  • Requires All of: Bard Virtuoso I, Bard Charisma II, Bard Lingering Song II, Bard Extra Song III
  • Available to Bard class level 12
  • Your further studies into song have granted you another +2 bonus to your Diplomacy, Listen, and Perform skills, for a total of +4 to each. You also gain 2 more extra uses of Bardic Music per rest for a total of 5, and the ability to extend the duration of your beneficial songs by an additional 10% for a total of 20%. Your uses of Bardic Music regenerate over time at a rate of 1 every 5 minutes (stacks with Anthem). You can now expend a use of Bardic Music to apply a temporary fast-healing effect to all nearby allies, or to make a single enemy dance helplessly. A successful Will save negates this effect. (DC Based on Perform check.)
  • This enhancement automatically grants the following:

Sustaining Song[edit]

  • Expend a use of Bardic Music to apply a temporary fast-healing effect to all nearby allies. It lasts for 24 seconds plus 6 seconds per Bard level, healing for 2d3 hit points every 2 seconds. It also casts Cure Light Wounds, Mass (once, as soon as the song finishes playing). The healing effect is considered a Positive effect, which is affected by all incoming bonuses/penalties (Human Improved Recovery, Warforged resistance, etc.) to which Healing spells are subject, but not outgoing effects (Bard Song Magic, Devotion, Potency). Any summoned undead in the party will continue to take damage until the song wears off; however, Pale Masters in Undead form are immune.

Song of Capering[edit]

  • Expend a use of Bardic Music to make a single enemy dance helplessly. A successful Will save negates this effect. (DC Based on Perform check.) Unlike most songs, this casts very quickly, with the dance effect hitting before the song finishes. Does not share the touch range limitation of Otto's (Ir)resistible Dance. Perfect for Beholders.
