If you try to talk to him while at level 2 or lower, he will reply:
- Vikram Nanpoor: Vikram sharpens his sword and smiles at you. His eyes are cold and hard, like a snake's. Yes? Can I help you find something?
If you are at level 3 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Vikram Nanpoor: The name's Nanpoor. Vikram Nanpoor. Are you the one to slay Unas the Unliving? Hmmm...I expected someone a bit more gallant. You do know what you're getting into, eh?
- You: I know exactly what I'm doing... I'm not exactly new at the kind of business. Besides, how hard can it be to dispatch a walking corpse covered in bandages?
- Vikram Nanpoor: Excellent! Good show, friend! And while you're down there risking life and limb, keep an eye out for some rare tomes. I collect ancient texts and would like to add some more to our research library.
- You: Sure, seeing as it's for a good cause. See? I have a sense of humor as well. (Bestow quest)

- You: I'm not so sure I want to help someone like you, Vikram. (Walk away)
- You: I know exactly what I'm doing... I'm not exactly new at the kind of business. Besides, how hard can it be to dispatch a walking corpse covered in bandages?
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:
- Vikram Nanpoor: My forces tell me that Unas still walks. Return to me when he can walk no longer, mm?
- You: Not yet. I'll be on my way. (Walk away)
- You: And you still want the books, correct?
- Vikram Nanpoor: Of course I do. That heretic Salasso has no need for them, and Vol knows that Unas is in no position to enjoy a good read...heheh.
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Vikram Nanpoor: Seems that you turned Unas into a pile of dusty linen bandages. Good show, friend! I knew you were smarter than you look...ah, a joke! See? We're not without a sense of humor.
- You: I'm not sure I appreciate your so-called 'sense of humor.' But still, I did as you asked. Unas is no more.
After completing the quest and taking the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Vikram Nanpoor: Good work, friend. Everyone said you'd fail but I assured them of your valor and intelligence.
