while I dont remember exact details, wiki ncl function used to have per page limit and doing this kind of thing gave bad error. I managed to do this this time, but the page still gets quite choppy when refreshed. we needed this list desperately for the update anyways, and its not as bad as bad dpl monster project page (?) that we used to have. in case the load gets bad enough, if you can get this recoded with dpl do so, otherwise we can split this page up, I kept tables modular for that purpose while the row alignment really really drives me nuts! --⇒ yoko5000 (Contribs • Message • Email) 05:34, December 6, 2017 (EST)

Table format and contents

What parameters do we really need for this table? Does the system care what type of weapon it is? Was this a requested field? Are there other parameters that might be important? I think the table is getting a little cluttered, so I'm thinking that since it is a static formula for XP based on ML of the item - perhaps merge those two columns into one | XP ^(ML) | style column instead. Do we even need that XP bit? This seems to be a list of weapons that can be made sentient, not a list of items that can be fed to sentient jewels. By this logic, we need the type of weapon, but we don't need the XP at all. And by the by, not all epic weapons are sentient (I know that the L30 Kookie Kutter can be made sentient, but the L25 cannot. • Can these weapons not also be fed to sentient jewels? If they can't, then we certainly can remove the XP bit. I understand the desire for type now, and I have no issue with it. This is why I wanted to ask before simply removing it. Is there any other important information that should be there? I know there are some weapons listed that can't currently be used (but based on the criteria given by SSG should be able to be used), and there is a way to remove those items from the list by putting {{Non-sentient}} at the top of the Weapon's Item: page. :) ⇒ DDOstream (Contribs • Message • Email) 08:42, January 23, 2018 (EST)
  • They can be fed (unless actually sentient), I just don't see a need to list the XP since that's solely based on ML, and people aren't going to be going "Hey, let's look at a table of sentient weapons to see how much sentient XP they're worth...". Time to remove daggers

100% of the weapons listed on this table (& echoed to this page: Sentient Weapon#Eligible Weapons) have a "dagger" notation, "(probably) not working as intended". This note should be removed to a general footnote, one with an explanation re what that exactly means. (Also, see discussion here: Talk:Sentient Weapon).
