Welcome![edit]

Hi! I just thought I'd stop by and thank you for your work around here (-: We appreciate it! If you haven't yet, you should consider registering - it offers all kinds of benefits:

  • Gettin rid of those dang ads if you like
  • Tracking your work across the site
  • Attribution to your real life name so all can learn of your exploits if you want to enable it
  • Your own user page and user talk page,
  • All kinds of stuff
  • And it's totally free

Quick too - you don't even have to have an e-mail address (although having one allows cool stuff like e-mail notification of new notes and page edits to your watched pages); just drop by over at the register special page and enter a username/password combination and click submit - voíla! Your registered!

You can login anywhere on the enterwiki network once you've registered, including non-wikis modules like the village pump (which is kind of like our discussion forum) and the devblog (to see what's up with the software devs over here at the network).

Anywho, welcome to our site; and help make it yours too - go contribute something (-; If you have any questions or anything else, you can leave a note on my talk page - I'll be glad to help! Either way... Mr. Cable 13:41, January 23, 2007 (EST)

Hiya Peerless!

Its Mad_Bombardier from DDOForums. I've been quoting your stuff for so long, I figured I'd add a little as well! I've never done a wiki before, so didn't want to register right away as I don't know how long I'll be staying. I can say that the code/syntax is a little overwhelming and has taken a bit of muddling through. But if I stay for much longer, I'll definitely be signing up. :) See you round the Forums and here on the wiki!

Mad_B→ 71.179.10.66

That's all okay with me (-: Thanks for stopping by!→ Mr. Cable 01:50, January 24, 2007 (EST)

Hey Mad B! Feel free to ask anything and push the edit button when you see something you can help with. Glad to have you here :)→ Tihocan 11:50, January 25, 2007 (EST)

Congratz[edit]

Congratz, you're superuser now.
Ok... I'm being lazy and I don't want to patrol your edits. :P Anyway, I trust you so... ;)

PS: Good luck/have fun testing the DR formula. :)→ Borror0 18:36, October 31, 2007 (EDT)

How the heck do I reply? Just edit? Apparently so. But, I've done it before with the quote/timestamp info. Dunno how to do that now. :(

P.S. The GoogleAds HAVE TO GO. F-ing trade4game and dndOnlinePlatinum bullshit that NO user needs to see. I know they're just bad GoogleAds, but it looks like DDOwiki condones and supports plat sellers. Mab Bombardier

To reply, you have to use the post template here for explanation of how it works! :)

About GooglesAds... getting there, I was talking about it with Peerless. I'll hit him up next time I see him on MSN.→ Borror0 20:56, October 31, 2007 (EDT)

The sales pitch for joining DDOwiki (above from Mr.Cable/tihocan) was that I would no longer see the ads after registering. Is that no longer the case? Mad Bombardier 11:31, November 1, 2007 (EDT)
I don't know, never really tried to do so... anyway, Ads are going off this weekend. :D→ Borror0 12:23, November 1, 2007 (EDT)

Question[edit]

Ok, testing this here. Not sure how to create a new talk point, hoping that 1=0 will do it. But, can only edit an existing talk point, not create a new one.

That brings me to my main question. How do I edit the text at the top of a page with no edit button? I'm doing a complete re-write for the DR page and would like to correct the grammar in the header paragraph.

P.S. Ok, so editing an old talk point, but renaming and adding 1=0 did create a new talk point. Is that the only way to do it, or is there a shortcut? Mad Bombardier 11:25, November 1, 2007 (EDT)

I don't know what's the "proper" way to do it, but I just press edit and add

==Discussion subjet== {{SUBST:Post|1=0|2=~~~~|3=Text}}

That's how I do it.

About editing the page... what about pressing the EDIT button at the top of the page? you know, on the blue line just beside "History". ;)

Hope this helps.→ Borror0 12:20, November 1, 2007 (EDT)

hehehe, I'm a noob! As you can see from the edit log, I've been editing individual fields.

What the heck is _NOTOC_? Mad Bombardier 12:31, November 1, 2007 (EDT)

Try it on that page.

It should remove the thing on the side, that links to the anchors. It,s called the TOC.→ Borror0 12:54, November 1, 2007 (EDT)

_NOTOC_ = No Table of Contents. duh! :D (told you I was a noob). Mad Bombardier 12:58, November 1, 2007 (EDT)
Hey got to learn somewhere, somehow at some time. ;)

I was a noob too.. TOC... Table of Content. Always called it TOC without knowing what the real name was. -_-

PS: In case you didn't know, there is a "Live preview" button. ;) Just beside save page... Borror0 13:06, November 1, 2007 (EDT)

If it were TDM (table des matières), you probably would have gotten the reference. :) Me, I'm a noob even in my native language. :-P

And yes, I use Live Preview a lot. I was doing edits on each subsection before, so there were lots of edits. Now, I can edit the whole page! :) Mad Bombardier 13:12, November 1, 2007 (EDT)

I wouldn't have got it either... XD

And... I was refering to your talk page editing... ;) Borror0 13:16, November 1, 2007 (EDT)
