Korthos village updated[edit]

when i saw the note that Miserys Peak required all 3 island quests to be done, i tested it by rerolling, didnt skip Shipwreck shore, and did Redemption then straight to Misery. when i returned to wiki, you removed the note. i hope next time you test it first yourself before adding an important note like that. meanwhile i just added notes on snowy & sunny side. Fair enough. I, of all people, should know never to trust what I read in wikis. Corebreach 06:17, October 30, 2009 (EDT)

aran's guides[edit]

hey core, i noticed you changed the links from newbie guide to aranticus guides. is there any particular reason for that? more importantly, there is no link to the how i build my toons page from the newbie guide page --Aranticus 10:04, March 5, 2010 (EST)

The Aranticus guides category is a sub-category of Newbie guides, so it still appears to someone browsing the categories page.
I felt your guides needed something to identify where the advice was coming from, since they're written with a direct "I suggest this...I suggest that..." style but there is nothing in them here to clarify that all the advice comes from one particular person. The articles don't have the obvious "From: Aranticus" header that they have on the forums. Most pages on a wiki are community works. I want readers to realize your guides are mainly your work, with all the credit and caveats that entails.
Sorry about losing the initial lead-in link. I see you already fixed that. Corebreach 06:33, March 6, 2010 (EST)
no worries about that, i did some editing of mine own and made some of them more like a book as they were supposed to be linked rather than separate pages. thanks for your recognition, i realised what you were trying to do and hence continued from where u stopped
