Why is the background of the whole banner black, when the rest of the site is white? Was this because it's assumed the background of the whole site will be black eventually? The image should have a transparent background, and the background color for the rest of the template should match whatever the skin's background color is (is there some sort of site variable that can be pulled from?). The f***ing image is not transparent. It's a black background, or a white background, both are horribly masked. When we get a better masked version, we can use it. I am thinking just remove it until we get a better one, comment out the template link on the main page itself. (post by Peerless - see his talk and contribs.)

I transparentized the image, and pulled it out of a table to avoid background color issues. Note that the image looks pretty degraded. I'll try to get a fresh copy to get rid of the black fuzzies surrounding the logo. Dedridd 16:21, March 9, 2006 (EST)
