The intimidate check against Ymris summoning his hired blades is greater than a 47 on Epic Hard (rolled a 20 with a 27 modifier)
After completing the quest Ymris is still there and you can repeatedly attempt to perform the intim check... (course I failed the first time, which might be the reason he stuck around)
