INT runes[edit]

changed the info on INT runes. I ran this today on Hard with 17 INT and it was not enough to open the runes to the rest shrines/treasure chamber. Buffed to 19 INT and opened them all with no problem. Anyone can run this themselves to verify it. 71.232.35.87 (Message • Block • Check) 11:52, October 3, 2015 (EDT)

Wording[edit]

There is a sentence which makes me - as a story player - cringe and shuddeer : "You must retrieve the Phylactery of Raiyum upon completion and turn it in to Zawabi, in order to get flagged for pre-raid."

This sentence suffers from two parts :

The first part is story-related : "You must retrieve the Phylactery of Raiyum upon completion and turn it in to Zawabi," The second part is player related : "in order to get flagged for pre-raid."

This reads as if "James Bond must get the vial of poison from Blofeld and bring it to Q in order to get flagged for pre-raid." James Bond needs to be flagged to get into a raid on Blofeld ? Or like "Robin Hood needs to get the gem from Maid Marian and bring it to Little John, in order to get flagged for pre-raid." Robin Hood needs to get flagged for a raid on the Sherriff ?

I hope I could make it clear what this sentence heavily suffers from : Insensitive mix of in-game story with out-game mechanics. As a writer, this sounds awful to me. I think I'll need to edit it so that it contains a clear difference between both. Alrik (ContribsMessage) 06:00, April 5, 2020 (EDT)

  • I agree that there needs to be some separation from story and mechanics. However, I don't think that we need to start putting tags of "story" or "mechanics" in every sentence. I split the sentence that was bugging you in two. Now it should be more clear what is the premise and what is a note about mechanics. Faltout (ContribsMessage) 08:06, April 5, 2020 (EDT)
