Talk:Spell lists unwieldy
Personally, I find the spell lists unusable. They are so big that my browaser grinds to a halt, only a few spells fit on a single screen, and the order is bad for looking up a given spell.
The few times I do struggle through it I do a text search to find the spell I want, and then it's even difficult to see the spell level because I have to *carefully* scroll up to the previous level #, but can easily scroll right past it without seeing it since the page is so long that the smallest scroll is a huge jump.
I'd love to create a "quick reference" page, but don't know how to create pages and wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes. Anybody else interested in a table-style list of spells without descriptions, but just names? The columns could be something like level, spell, cost, school, damage dice, damage type (acid, fire, etc...), and duration. Or something along those lines. Then you could sort by any column to quickly look up, say cold damage spells, or enchantment spells, or level 5 spells, or whatever.

- Feel free to create a mock up of what you want in your user space... Perhaps on a page named User:EllisDee37/Spell list, or perhaps break it down even a little more User:EllisDee37/Spell list (arcane) && User:EllisDee37/Spell list (divine). Your choice... I know that most of the administrators are still running stirred crazy trying to get caught up with all of the Update 14 changes and the new Update 15 stuffs as well. Lots of template rebuilding and category restructuring going on... Not to mention, we just did a fairly significant upgrade to the wiki a few weeks ago... Happy editing!!!

Cool, I'll get started on that in the near future. Thanks much for the guidance on a page name to start with, I wouldn't have had a clue. heh.
And yeah, solid point about the mountain of work going on with the wiki. I'll try to come up with something good.
Sorry, I can't even begin how to process getting the cool formatting on these replies. It took me several minutes just to figure out how to add a reply at all.

- I just fixed it so that you now have the wiki welcome message that teaches things like how to Post on talk pages to your talk page. Read over that and you should be able to do much more on the wiki.
