So when it's doing damage, this spell is increased by any items or enhancements that enhance any of its effects, even if it's not the effect that's happening? i.e. a Red ray (fire) happens to shoot out. Even if you have nothing that buffs Fire, if you have bonuses to Acid or Electric damage/crit chance/crit damage, it would boost the fire? --JoD 14:21, September 17, 2011 (EDT)

I just tested this. I striped naked, and used both the ray and spray on targets in cerulean hills till i had hit something with each beam (3 elements, two spells, and some confirmation that damage is static per element). I then applied the following +spellpower mods and repeated the process: Fire, Cold, Acid, Lightning, Force, Negative. In each case only the colour directly associated with the +spellpower item i equipped increased and others remained the same. I believe my methadology was thorough considering the spell damage is static once a colour is picked (4-5-6). Either the spell has changed since the scaling or it does not work as this article says. I'm really not that comfortable editing articles myself though since i'm not sure where the original data came from - Aerach 17/8/2012

should this: ... with a 12.5% of inflicting a second different effect from that 7.
