Talk:Policy on Video links
I haven't done a lot of wiki editing before, but I have been playing this game for a long time and feel like I could start to contribute to the site. One of the things that I'm currently working on is a video walkthrough of each quest. I've seen some quests with links on them for walkthroughs, but not a lot, and was wondering what the policy is for adding YouTube links for such things. What would be the best way to go about doing it, if that's not too much trouble to ask as well.

- Apparently we need to have a larger scale discussion about this. I've posted a request for more feedback on DDO wiki:Administrators' noticeboard/PoI. I don't see any increase in intrusiveness or the loading times unless they are set to autoplay, which none of them should be. - Just adding my two cents that I also prefer links at the bottom of the article. But I also would like to chime in about the walkthroughs: I think we should reject/remove any videos that may be using known exploits (like finding a piece of terrain where you can range with impunity) and only accept videos that play the quest "as intended". Eg, no invisirunning to the end, or zerging while dropping Blade Barriers. This might lead some new player believe that those are the main/only way to play those quests. - For my own part, I run the quests as intended with the goal of specifically helping new players. I'm not the definitive expert on each quest or the game, but I have played enough that I know how to get through them without having to resort to any sort of exploits to do so.
