Item:ize?[edit]

Should items like this be in Item:? I need some help deciding.

They aren't materials used in crafting recipes, they are tradable (a word originally used in an exchange of items or services, without the involvement of a 3rd party's "middle-man common trading currency" sucking up both transactors with a parasite called "interest")... Thus indeed they're items. Considering your question, what could be lacking though is at least some background over these : are they works of Art, anthropological artifacts, etc., and why are they so prized, what's their history? Can they be considered as of common knowledge/historical-cultural asset or are they of personal/emotional matters? It's unfortunate that the quests are so poorly designed in this regard, there's a huge potential which has been overlooked, and could make things much more interesting in terms of RPG paradigms.

  • I realize they are items, but they are what we might call Collectables, and I'm not sure that collectables (or ingredients or gems) should be on item pages... That is what the question here is, should "bag-able" things be on pages in the Item: namespace? ShoeMaker (Contributions Message) 13:57, August 2, 2014 (EDT)

Page Needs a Name Change[edit]

There is no such thing as an Invasion Token. This is a mish-mash or a failed portmanteau of the Quest name where they are dropped and the fact that they are Outsider Tokens. It's not even an accurate mish-mash, since the quest isn't called "Invasion" but is instead "Invaders!" And so if anything they might be called Invaders! Tokens. But really, they are simply Outsider Tokens and the page name should reflect that. We do not call a Fire Dragon Phlogiston a "Thunder Peak Phlogiston," after all, since that is not their name despite the term referencing a close quest name and a part of their actual name.

With regards to the prior topic, they are not Collectables, they store in the Ingredients bag. I could see moving this to the crafting page, as that is what this is at the heart of it: A very simplistic crafting system. -Niminae (ContribsMessage) 06:10, May 16, 2017 (EDT)

  • One option would be to make this a redirect; and merge this article with Category:Invaders!_loot (in a new section at the bottom). Items will then automagically appear on the quest article. I might do it later unless someone beats me to it - or objects. --Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 06:32, May 16, 2017 (EDT)
  • I checked in game, Invasion Tokens is actually the name of a quest/journal entry bestowed by the collector. I have rewritten the article as such, and generally moved various stuff around. --Cru121

ROFL...all this debate over a quest collectible with rewards that aren't even that good...I levelled past the usefulness of all of the rewards long before I got enough of the tokens to get one Kiljaedenas (ContribsMessage) 01:08, February 1, 2023 (EST)
