Talk:I would like to create a Healer. Which class should I pick?
This all comes down to preference. If you would like to go for a true healer approach, cleric is probably the way to go. With its ability to cure wounds and have a fairly high amount of spell points this is considered the healing character of the game. Clerics also can melee just not as effectively as some other characters. Clerics are also necessary for almost every gropu to survive so you know you will be able to join groups. I also play a paladin which has some healing abilities such as lay on hands. This cannot be used often per rest though and is pretty much used as a powerful one time backup heal if the cleric in the group dies or is overwhelmed. The paladin has some divine spells which i have not reached hte top levels but i hear are quite good at that time. All in all if u want to be a true healer become a wisdom and charisma based cleric and possibly multiclass with a level of sorceror to increase spell points.
- I agree, the only people i would invite to my group to heal are clerics and bards. Paladins are more of a melee class that can heal in emergancys or in between fights to help save the real healers spell points Big Gino 07:43, February 8, 2006 (PST)
