New hireling table[edit]

Updated hireling table, abandoning the Hireling template table that was here as the template did not work.

Still need to add Gianthold and Meridia availability info and metamagic info (from compendium and/or in-game testing). Would like to list total uses of abilities like Divine Vitality, length of Haste buff, etc.

Any suggestions on making the table more user-friendly? Maybe color rows by class? Perhaps move the description info into a popup on the name? Backley 18:15, October 19, 2011 (EDT)

Prestige Enhancements[edit]

Recent edits have Giliganddo making a note that hirelings do not have Prestige Enhancements, with the edit being reverted by Nibelung. Does Nibelung or anyone else have any proof of a hireling having a Prestige Enhancement? Because I don't think any do and I think Giliganddo's edit was correct. Check the bard hirelings. Most of them have Ironskin Chant, Enthrallment or Spellsong Trance as an ability. The level 20 paladin hireling have a Hunter of Dead III clickie. Some rogue hirelings also have Assassinate on their hotbar.--Nibelung (ContributionsMessage) 18:18, May 18, 2012 (EDT)
The hireling page links to the compendium pages of various hirelings, which lists the hireling's enhancements. I'm not sure how that data was culminated, but many of them do list the prestige enhancements. Maybe we should localize these pages and pull some of this data? Compendium links dead[edit]

As the Compendium is now closed down, the links to the NPC pages no longer work. We should gather what info we can regarding the NPCs. WayBack Machine and Google cache to the rescue

Well, there is a slim hope that Turbine will convert the hireling pages to new web site format... eventually. Looks like a lot of work for wiki editors. :/ Particularly considering that viewing the compendium source is no longer possible. Alternatively, we could only change the links to web.archive.org links.

New player's observations[edit]

I try to save on SP all the time. ATM I am a Trad. Wiz. And although being time consuming I am now addicted to using the Sunder and Stunning Blow actions of my hireling on locked doors. Fireball is quicker and only consumes 15 SP. Some Dungeons just have a lot of doors to burn down. Ty. Avras Lakaron (Traditional Wizard) * Cannith (ContribsMessage) 09:29, August 12, 2019 (EDT)
