Going a bit too far Technical13 on the ALLCAPS[edit]

Wheather you like it or not. Using ALL CAPS is unprofessional and does not belong on a wiki, anywhere. We are pretty big on using proper capitalization whereever possible, and obviously all caps isn't that. The bold is fine, but by using all caps it's like your treating the reader like he's a 6 year old that has to be yelled at to understand the message.. It's patronizing, and unprofessional. --Shade 14:55, October 4, 2011 (EDT)

Indeed, using bold text is the way to go as far as emphasis is concerned. --Zt2211 16:22, October 4, 2011 (EDT)

Epic Devil Assault: Loot[edit]

I had heard from somewhere that Epic Devil Assault has a small chance of dropping FRDSs. Can someone confirm? --Cauthey 12:04, October 21, 2011 (EDT)

NM, Shade says that it does not https://ddowiki.com/page/Talk:Flawless_Red_Dragon_Scale. Thanks, Shade! :) --Cauthey 12:19, October 21, 2011 (EDT)

Update 17 Changes[edit]

It looks like some partial updates to the page were done with the MotU expansion and Epic levels, but there's definitely a need to update this page with Update 17 and the revamped augment slots and any changes in drops that appear there. --Spencerian 16:49, March 11, 2013 (EDT)

Updated token drop rates?[edit]

The page says "Dungeon Tokens per difficulty: EC: 15-25 fragments. EN: 0-2 Tokens. EH: 2 Tokens. EE: 2.5 Dungeon Tokens." but it also says (in direct contradiction) "NOTE: Harder difficulties in this quest do not have a higher Token of the Twelve drop count. It is becoming more common to farm the dungeons on Epic Normal difficulty rather than Epic Hard or higher because Epic Normal is the only difficulty to often award two Tokens upon completion."

I just ran Epic Hard and got a measly 22 Token Fragments. Anyone have more data on token drop rates and difficulty levels?

I just noticed the same thing. The first comment, "...higher difficulties do not have a higher Token of the Twelve drop count", directly contradicts the enumeration under loot. Both statements have been there for years. Which, if either, is correct? Hoopy Froodle (ContribsMessage) 21:43, April 14, 2020 (EDT)

Epic Experience[edit]

I ran a EN and logged the XP I was being awarded, since it seemed clear that this quest gave a significant amount of additional XP in increments as it advanced. Here's what I captured, with only a 5% ship buff bonus in place (no Voice, no potion, no first time Normal, no VIP, no Tome of Epic Learning, etc.). I didn't note it but I probably got Onslaught, which would modify the completion award only:

4394 - "Wave" reward
7030 - "Wave" reward
10546 - First Leader of Shavrath
17578 - Second Leader of Shavrath
29493 - Third Leader of Shavrath and Completion

The 29493 for completion is a lot higher than the 17,026 shown on the main page, which is more in line with the reward for killing the second "leader of Shavrath." Where does the discrepancy come in? The quest XP shown on the wiki seems to be very much at odds with what is awarded in game, and this limits the value of the information the wiki is providing. An experienced player knows that they will earn a lot more than what is shown on the wiki in certain high XP value quests.

  • The first 4 waves seem to pretty much correspond to 25/50/75/100 of the base normal XP 17,026 with +5% from ship buff.
  • The completion has probably included the following bonuses: 20% daily bonus, +10% Flawless Victory Bonus, +10% Persistence Bonus, +25% Conquest bonus, for a total of total of 65%. Multiplying base xp * 1.65 gameplay bonuses * 1.05 paytowin bonuses yields similar number to what you got; few points off due to rounding and calculation quirks.

See Experience_points#Example for additional details. -- Cru121 (ContribsMessage) 13:52, July 2, 2018 (EDT)
