Do cooldowns prevent you from casting any spell at all, or does it only apply to the spell you just cast, or is it perhaps school related? Please fill out these details in this article, whomever has the knowledge. Dedridd 08:58, February 16, 2006 (PST)

Cooldowns are tricky, I have yet to understand exactly how they work. For instance you can cast CLW followed by CMW very fast (faster than CLW twice in a row). But I don't believe you can cast Summon Monster I followed by Summoned Monster II (though I don't remember trying). Also, cooldowns are applied to some feats / enhancements, and may have different behaviors. For instance, when you trigger on Combat Expertise, you cannot cast any spell for some time (30s I think). -- Tihocan 10:01, February 16, 2006 (PST)
Yeah, that would be very tricky, if healing spells have different cooldown rules than summoning spells, which have different cooldown rules than active skills. Which means this will probably be something that confuses a lot of new players, and getting a good explanation here will be highly valuable. Dedridd 10:05, February 16, 2006 (PST)
