Talk:Armor Screenshot Standards?

I'm interested in helping the wiki out by adding screenshots to named armor pages, but I don't know whether the wiki has any standards or guidelines for taking shots.

Would it be better to take shots of them as they look equipped in-game or a shot of it from the character select screen? Does it matter? I've gotten a little feedback from people in game, a few have said they would prefer in-game screenshots, if that carries any weight in a consideration.

There are no real guidelines for item screenshots. However.. I personally use the following system: If it is an info-box screen shot, I try to limit the width of the file to 350px and I name it the exact spelling with the exact capitalization for the filename with .jpg as the extension.. If it is a shot of how the itme looks as worn, I try to limit the width of the file to 300px and I name it the exact spelling with the exact capitalization for the filename with .png as the extension.. If it is an icon of what you see for the item in your backpack inventory, I try to limit it to 40px and I name it the exact spelling with the exact capitalization for the filename with .bmp as the extension.. Not everyone does this however, so it is basically a judgment call on your part. ShoeMaker 23:21, June 18, 2011 (EDT)

|pic= is for how the item when worn
|picdesc= for the tooltip\details of an item Neouni 05:02, June 19, 2011 (EDT)
