It was brought up in this talk page to add UMD to the protected template Template:Spelldescription. I would like to suggest this and a step further by adding availability of Scrolls/Wands/Potions.

Discuss?

The UMD required to use the corresponding wand or scroll is not part of the spell itself, it is part of the wand or scroll, and therefor I believe the information is appropriate on the wand and scroll pages, but not the spell description page itself. I am opposed to this idea.

Agree with Tech the 'info box' is for spell it self which can't be UMD. Most Potions don't have UMD can also cause confusion.

  • PQ: I need a 28 UMD to use the or cast the spell or use a pot?
  • PA: No just scrolls and wands.
  • PQ: But the wiki says it has a UMD of 28.
  • PA: Wiki is wrong, it just for scrolls and wands, not sure why they change it.

Then a few months later a dev decides to add higher CR spells on items witch then have a higher corresponding UMD. Bladedge (ContributionsMessage) 21:53, December 22, 2012 (EST)
