If you try to talk to him while at level 2 or lower, he will reply:
- Scholes of Vedykar: As you approach Scholes, you can see he is speaking with the three men at his table. You should probably check back later.
If you are at level 3 or higher, however, he will reply:
- Scholes of Vedykar: Hello there, <class>. If you've come for healing, I'm rather unprepared at the moment. I'm about to head into the sewers and I'm going to need every spell available to me.
- You: The sewers?
- Scholes of Vedykar: Yes. The sewers beneath this ward have become a bit restless lately. The four of us at have been tasked with quelling this small problem before it gets out of hand.
- You: You guys need a fifth?
- Scholes of Vedykar: Scholes surveys the table before responding. It will be a while yet before we can leave since the dwarf's still drunk. If you want, you can get a group together and go down there yourself. It won't be a big deal if you can't clear them out since we'll have to go down there anyway.
- You: What is it I'll need to do exactly?
- Scholes of Vedykar: You will need to find and kill an earth elemental called Landslide. Once you've done that, just come back here for your reward. Do you think you can handle the job?
- You: I'll do my best. (Bestow quest)
- Scholes of Vedykar: That's all I could ask for. Good luck and don't forget to come back here when you're done.
Talking to him after acquiring the quest, but before completion, will make him say:
- Scholes of Vedykar: Hey there, <name>. As you can see, we still have a drunken dwarf on our hands. Hope your sewer adventure is going well.
On completion of quest, he will congratulate you with the following:
- Scholes of Vedykar: Ahh! There you are, <name>. I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you. Looks like Rockslide or Landslide - whichever it's being called - was no match for you. Good job and thank you for saving us the trouble. Here's your reward as promised.
- You: He was a handful, but it was nothing that couldn't be handled.
After completing the quest and take the reward, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Scholes of Vedykar: As you approach Scholes, you can see he is speaking with the three men at his table. You should probably check back later.
