Location: Korthos Village, He sits directly in the path as you exit The Grotto to ensure new players notice him. He was moved in Eberron Unlimited Patch 1 to maximize visibility.

Notes: Randall is a traveler who found himself stuck in Korthos Village when the dragon prevented travel to and from the island. He guides new players exiting from The Grotto with a series of tutorial quests.

Korthos Village[edit]

  • Randall: Now where did you come from? I guess it doesn't matter. I am Randall, the traveler.
  • Randall: This is Korthos Village and it's going through hard times. What hard times, you say?
  • Randall: Why don't you have a look around the village and find out for youself.

THE FOLLOWING DIALOGUE OPTIONS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO LEVEL 1 CHARACTERS:

Before asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit:
After asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit but before completing Heyton's Rest:
  • You: (Tutorial: How to find a Quest.)
    • Randall: (People who are looking for your help show up as a Yellow Chalice on your map. You can press the M key to open your map and look for it.
    • Randall: Once you're close to the person who needs help, you'll be able to see a Glowing Chalice Icon hovering over his or her head.
    • Randall: You can interact with these Questgivers to obtain a new quest.)
      • You: I can't find a Questgiver -- point one out for me. (bestows Tutorial: How to find a Quest quest)
        • Randall: (One of the Questgiver icons on your Map is now flashing. You can press the M key to open your map and look for it.
        • Randall: Make sure you're not inside the Wavecrest Tavern, and you can simply walk towards the Questgiver to reach it.
        • Randall: Once you are close to the Questgiver, you can Left-Click on it to start a dialogue.)
      • You: I'll go look for a Questgiver. (ends conversation)
After asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit and completing Heyton's Rest but before talking to your Class Trainer (this option is never available to Druids or Artificers):
  • You: (Tutorial: How to advance your character.)
    • Randall: (The bar at the bottom of the screen shows how close you are to your next Rank. Each Rank gives you Action Points for purchasing :Enhancements. Once you've obtained 5 Ranks, your character gains a Level.
    • Randall: You currently have Action Points to spend, denoted by the icon on the top-right corner of the screen. You will need to speak a Trainer for your Class in order to spend it.
    • Randall: Trainers appear as Blue Leaf icons on your Map. Find the one for your character's class.)
After asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit, completing Heyton's Rest, and talking to your Class Trainer (unless you are a Druid or Artificer) but before completing The Storehouse's Secret:

    • Randall: (You can speak to a Vendor in order to Repair, Buy, or Sell your inventory items.
    • Randall: Vendors are marked with a golden curcular icon on your map (open with the M key on your keyboard.)
    • Randall: Find the General Vendor in Korthos Village and access his shop.)
      • You: I can't find the Vendor -- point him out for me. (bestows Tutorial: How to buy & sell items in your inventory quest)
        • Randall: (The Vendor's golden circular icon is now blinking on your map (open with the M key on your keyboard.)
        • Randall: Normally, Vendors simply show what type of store they have beneath the Vendor's name, but the Korthos Village General Vendor now has a glowing yellow check-mark added over his head, so that you can identify him more easily.
        • Randall: Once you find the General Vendor, Left-Click on him to start a dialogue and access his shop.)
      • You: I'll go look for the Vendor. (ends conversation)
After asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit, completing Heyton's Rest, talking to your Class Trainer (unless you are a Druid or Artificer), completing The Storehouse's Secret, and viewing Dax Boon's inventory but before completing The Cannith Crystal:
  • You: (Tutorial: How to find a Quest.)
    • Randall: (People who are looking for your help show up as a Yellow Chalice on your map. You can press the M key to open your map and look for it.
    • Randall: Once you're close to the person who needs help, you'll be able to see a Glowing Chalice Icon hovering over his or her head.
    • Randall: You can interact with these Questgivers to obtain a new quest.)
      • You: I can't find a Questgiver -- point one out for me. (bestows Vector: The Cannith Crystal quest)
        • Randall: (One of the Questgiver icons on your Map is now flashing. You can press the M key to open your map and look for it.
        • Randall: Make sure you're not inside the Wavecrest Tavern, and you can simply walk towards the Questgiver to reach it.
        • Randall: Once you are close to the Questgiver, you can Left-Click on it to start a dialogue.)
      • You: I'll go look for a Questgiver. (ends conversation)

    • Randall: (As you progress through Quest Arcs, new quests become available. Some of these new questgivers are located inside taverns, and you will need to enter the tavern to see them.
    • Randall: Taverns are marked with a Green Mug icon on your map (press the M key on your keyboard to open.)
    • Randall: Try finding a new quest inside the Wavecrest Tavern.)
      • You: I can't find the Wavecrest Tavern or the quest inside -- point it out for me. (bestows Tutorial: Quests inside Taverns quest)
        • Randall: (In order to help you find the Wavecrest Tavern's icon, we've made it blink on your map (press the M key on your keyboard to open.)
        • Randall: Look for the blinking Green Mug icon on your map. Walk to the Wavecrest Tavern and Left-click on its door to go in.
        • Randall: Once inside, look for Sigmund Bauerson standing at the bar. Left-click on him to interact, and obtain the new quest.)
      • You: I'll go look for a Quest inside the tavern. (ends conversation)
After asking Brother Malden to bind your spirit, talking to your Class Trainer (unless you are a Druid or Artificer), viewing Dax Boon's inventory, and completing The Collaborator:
