Positional
Positional spells can be targeted directly where your mouse reticule is point. Unlike many spells they do not require any hard-lock target to be selected in your focus orb.
Most spells with this type of targeting can still be hard-targeted using the focus orb however. For these types of spells you'll need to clear your orb by hitting esc if you wish to instead target them positionally.
