PAX East general info[edit]

  • Xoriat themed adventure level 15 +
  • Introduction of full-fledged crafting system: initially 100+ levels at first launch in Update 9
  • Will try to add to crafting system a bit each update rather than just on odd updates
  • Changes to social skills: intimidate, diplomacy and bluff now useful

KEEP IN MIND: ALL THE BELOW IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This was just what was currently talked about for the current build.

Sorcerer[edit]

  • 4 prestige lines up to tier 3
  • Choices are Acid, Lightning, Fire, Cold
  • Each tier gives: +caster lvl of that type, - caster lvl of opposing type
  • + inherent resist to type, + bypass resist of foes to type
  • Inherent ability similar to Archmage
  • Does not require additional AP to gain the spell-like ability

Favored Soul[edit]

  • Info currently on forums
  • Archon uses same graphic as the Eladrin shrunk down to Navi from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time size
    • It shoots laser beams

Social skills[edit]

  • Intimidate:
    • On success: now gives you the top persons threat + a buffer
    • On use (pass or fail): + threat mod
  • Bluff:
    • On success: now gives everyone 4 seconds of sneak attack (on sneak attackable mobs)
    • On use: - threat mod
  • Diplomacy:
    • minus % threat (do not remember where it fits)
  • The effects of the on use for bluff and diplomacy stack

Crafting[edit]

  • Crafting workshop in House Kundarak Enclave
    • 11 Crafting Devices
  • 3 Branches of crafting: Divine, Arcane, Elemental
  • Over 100 levels at Update 9 Launch
  • Will use new ingredients in lower tiers introduced in Update 9
  • Will use collectibles later on
  • Ability to grab suffixes and prefixes off RANDOMLY GENERATED items destroying item in process
    • Enhancement bonuses, Material and guild slots haven't been talked about
  • Ability to apply it to other items.
  • Not just weapons. Shields and armor/robes shown as well.
  • Aim to eventually have cosmetics to be crafted with such system. Unsure if it will possibly use Store component.

New Creature type[edit]

  • The Fallen. A bipedal amalgamation of parts. Seem to use a new rigging (meaning not a re-textured model like the swamp creatures in Red Fens)

Whats the deal with Druids[edit]

For any form changing, all the models have to be loaded all the time for that character, greatly increasing overhead. This limitation of the engine prevented druids from being doled out earlier. They are making good headway on resolving this.

Epic Quests[edit]

  • New ones will give a range similar to the Crystal Cove of 20-25, decreasing drop rates, loot tables and difficulty (Since Epics are currently all 25)
  • May be applied retroactively to other epics as updates come out.
  • Scrolls will be more generic (Scroll of Desert Sands)-Most likely will not be retroactive to prevent flood of Epic items at launch/screw up the economy
  • Considering the same for Shard/seals but not sure. Scrolls are the test case.

Challenger System[edit]

  • A level selection system similar to Crystal Cove (which allowed for a range between 1-25)
  • Will including scoring systems to compare to other players (No ranking system announced)

Other misc[edit]

  • New graphic for Pale Master auras that isn't a watermelon is being worked on
