Notes: Murkletter is a member of the small drow tribe in the Isle of Forgotten Dreams.

Isle of Forgotten Dreams[edit]

As soon as you arrive on the island, he will talk to you:

Murkletter: I still need to clear out more rock before a <man/woman> can squeeze through this hole.
Murkletter: Don't worry, when I'm done, you will be able to explore the giantish ruins within.

After you acquire the quest The Interdiction Lens, he will reply:

Murkletter: Hail, <race>. The scaffold is ready—you can climb down if you wish.
Murkletter: I believe the ruins inside were once the Giants' Vault, where the ancient giants kept many valuables.
- You: Do you think an Aspect Crystal might be down there? -- I need to find one in order to repair the Interdiction Lens.
Murkletter: If this Aspect Crystal you speak of was important to the giants, then you will likely find it in the Giants' Vault.
Murkletter: However, the tunnel is small, and this scaffold cannot hold much weight. If you go in, you must do so alone, without any of your friends.
- You: I'm willing to brave this alone. I'll use the scaffold to lower myself in. (Bestow quest)
- You: I don't think it's wise to do this alone—Is there another place I could find an Aspect Crystal?
  - Murkletter: There is a crystal mine not far away. Perharps this crystal you seek can be found there? -- At least the mine is large enough to bring your companions.
  - Murkletter: If you wish to search there, then speak with my sister outside the Aspect Mine. Her name is Velrath.
    - You: All right, I'll talk to Velrath.

After completing Raiding the Giants' Vault, he will congratulate you:

Murkletter: You were the first living thing down there in tens of thousands of years, <race>.
Murkletter: And you return with an Aspect Crystal, I see. -- Channa d'Cannith is waiting for that crystal back in our camp.

After you get an Aspect Crystal, but before handing it back to Channa, he will reply:

Murkletter: I believe Channa d'Cannith is waiting for the Aspect Crystal you found.
Murkletter: She's back at our camp.

After you complete his quest and fixed the Interdiction Lens, he will reply:

Murkletter: You've already delved into the Giants' Vault, <race>. -- Do you wish to re-enter and search for more?
