If you have not talked to your Class Trainer, you are a Druid or Artificer, or if there is no quest available in the Korthos tutorial quest series:

        • Luca Fayes: Paladins can use any simple or martial weapon. Many paladins use a longsword and shield, though paladins on the Flame of Justice path prefer two-handed weapons.

        • Luca Fayes: At level one paladins gain the Smite Evil ability, which allows a paladin to strike a mighty blow against an evil creature such as a Sahuagin. Note, though, that this is not effective against neutral creatures such as dogs or spiders. At level two paladins gain the Lay On Hands ability. This allows you to apply a powerful heal you yourself or an ally. You can also use Lay On Hands as a weapon against undead creatures, since healing effects cause damage to undead.

  • Luca Fayes: You can interact with these Questgivers to obtain a new quest.)
    • You: I can't find a Questgiver -- point one out for me. (bestows Tutorial: How to find a Quest quest)

  • Luca Fayes: Find the General Vendor in Korthos Village and access his shop.)
    • You: I can't find the Vendor -- point him out for me. (bestows Tutorial: How to buy & sell items in your inventory quest)
      • Luca Fayes: (The Vendor's golden circular icon is now blinking on your map (open with the M key on your keyboard.)
      • Luca Fayes: Normally, Vendors simply show what type of store they have beneath the Vendor's name, but the Korthos Village General Vendor now has a glowing yellow check-mark added over his head, so that you can identify him more easily.
      • Luca Fayes: Once you find the General Vendor, Left-Click on him to start a dialogue and access his shop.)

      • Luca Fayes: Look for the blinking Green Mug icon on your map. Walk to the Wavecrest Tavern and Left-click on its door to go in.
      • Luca Fayes: Once inside, look for Sigmund Bauerson standing at the bar. Left-click on him to interact, and obtain the new quest.)
