Location: Korthos, located as you enter the Heyton Family Crypt bestowed as the quest - Heyton's Rest by Kaja Bauerdatter.
Description: (Crypt Keeper) Jacoby Drexelhand is the Crypt Keeper of Heyton's Family Crypt, and is later revealed as a cultist of the Devourer. His devotion is such that even after dead, he returns as a undead monster to fight you again.
As soon as you enter the crypt, everything is sealed off and guarded by him. As you approach, he replies:
- Jacoby Drexelhand: I haven't seen you before. You're new to Korthos? Hmm...
- Jacoby Drexelhand: Well, you should go back up to the village. This crypt is falling apart. you could trip on some rubble and... hurt yourself.
- You: The villagers are talking about some strange noises down here, and I'm going to investigate. Let me pass!
- Jacoby Drexelhand: Fine! Don't come crying to me after you trip in the dark and break your neck! (He opens the gate)
- You: You're the Crypt Keeper? Aren't you supposed to be maintaining this place?
- Jacoby Drexelhand: Heh, who has time for menial chores with Korthos' impending doom?
- Jacoby Drexelhand: The sahuagin want to destroy the village, and the only safe people are the ones who join their Devourer cult.
- Jacoby Drexelhand: Mark my words, in a month's time, the only people left in Korthos will belong to the cult.
- You: We'll see. But now I need to make sure there are no cultists in the crypt. Let me pass!
- Jacoby Drexelhand: Fine! Don't come crying to me after you trip in the dark and break your neck! (He opens the gate)

After the gate is open, if you talk to him again, he will reply:
- Jacoby Drexelhand: Come to your senses yet? It's safe back up on the surface. (same dialogue options as before)

Notes on his name[edit]
The German verb "drechseln", which is pronounced like "drexeln", means woodturning. So, his name means "Woodturnhand".
The underlying meaning might be that he is someone who has turned away from his village and towards the Devourer cult. An even darker interpretation is possible : That he is involved in the turning of villager's corpses into undead for the cult.
Many Korthos villers' names seem to be - at least at first look - like German sounding names.
