Description: The grandfather of Euphonia Teles and owner of the Smuggler's Rest island. An old sailor on his death bed told him a tale about hiding many Treasure Map Pieces around an island so Grandfather Teles purchased the island and intended to reassemble the map with his granddaughter. However, after news of the treasure of Crystal Cove spread, he needs assistance finding the map pieces and fighting off pirates.
Notes: He is only present during the Treasure of Crystal Cove event.
The Rook's Gambit[edit]
- Grandfather Teles: To Khyber with those pirates!
- Grandfather Teles: With them running wild over the island, Euphonia and I will never put the treasure map back together.
- Grandfather Teles: We'll never get our chance to find the treasure of Crystal Cove!
- You: Tell me about the treasure map.
- Grandfather Teles: Years ago a sailor mate of mine hid pieces of a treasure map all over this island. It led to Crystal Cove, a place bursting with dragonshards!
- Grandfather Teles: The sailor passed on, and I bought the island. My graddaughter[sic] Euphonia and I were going to reassemble the map.
- Grandfather Teles: But then some fool blabbed about it! Must have been the adventurers that used to come through Smuggler's Rest, an untrustworthy bunch if ever there was one!
- Grandfather Teles: Anyway, the secret got out and pirates started showing up, searching for Treasure Map Pieces. Now there are so many that you can hardly take a step without running into a pirate cutlass!
- You: Tell me about Crystal Cove. (see below)
- You: Tell me about Crystal Cove.
- Grandfather Teles: Crystal Cove is a legend in these waters!
- Grandfather Teles: They say that the caves there are stuffed to bursting with dragonshard crystals - enough to set up a greedy man for life!
- Grandfather Teles: But the cove is surrounded by deadly currents and jagged rocks. Even if you got the Treasure Map to find it, you'd need magic to land safely there - something like a Treasure Compass.
