Evoker
An evoker is a Mage specialized in the Evocation spell school. His focus is direct damage.
Unfortunately this does not exist in DDO, but a way to emulate it if you wish to play such a Mage for Role Playing reasons is to choose a sorcerer and only select evocation spells. If you were to do that then the following feats and enhancements would be beneficial.
Usefulness of different feats[edit]
- Spell Focus - good against creatures that have high saves against your spells.
- Maximize Spell and Empower Spell are good if you need to hit hard & fast (e.g. when damage is more important than conserving your spellpoints).
Usefulness of different Sorcerer enhancements[edit]
- Combustion is useful for an evoker as it raises the damage of fire spells.
- Glaciation is useful for an evoker as it raises the damage of cold spells.
- Magnetism is useful for an evoker as it raises the damage of electricity spells.
