Caster levels[edit]
As I said in that other talk page about some wand, it would be simpler to just list the caster levels found for each wand. No need to create a new entry for each caster level, this will just make the list harder to read. Tihocan 16:24, March 6, 2006 (EST)
Should each type of generic wand have a page?[edit]
The previous consensus (~2010-2011) was to not add a page for each type of generic wand. This is a topic to reopen that discussion for a new consensus and have that new consensus be officially on the wiki for future reference. Omunam10 10:16, January 27, 2022 (EST)
- The consensus, I believe, was more that a different page was not necessary for each different caster level of the same type of wand, which makes sense, because unlike items, say, nothing except that one variable changes. - The reason I would want each wand to have it's own page is three elements (Cost, UMD check, Whom has no UMD check). I don't know if it would be worth it for people to maintain, however I don't think that generic wands change very much. Omunam10 10:16, January 27, 2022 (EST)
- A wand's UMD score follows the same rules for wands as it does for Spell Scrolls. Cost is also standardised based on wand minimum level. As for the last point, any character that meets the wand's minimum level and has a single level in any class that can cast that spell can use the wand without UMD.
