This is an interesting category as it appears as though Turbine has implemented Riposte in two different ways. So a person just looking at the property Riposte may assume an effect which is not actually present. Note the difference between Riposte III through Riposte XII, which deal Xd4 (3d4 through 12d4) damage to the attacker on a miss and provide 1/2 of the Roman numeral value (rounded up) as an Insight bonus to AC and saving throws, vs. Riposte +2 or Riposte +8 on Breaker of Bodies and Legendary Breaker of Bodies, where the + value is a directly correlated Insight bonus to AC and saving throws with no mention made of any damage inflicted on the attacker on a miss.
