Byeshk

Mined in the Byeshk and Graywall Mountains bordering Droaam, this rare metal is prized by smiths for use in jewelry and weapons. It has a lustrous purple sheen and is hard and dense.
Byeshk weapons are able to overcome the damage reduction of the Daelkyr who are responsible for most of the aberrations in Eberron, as well as Mindflayers and Xorian Renders. Further it provides an additional hardness over a equivalent Steel weapon - 7 points higher to be exact. Nearly as hard as adamantine, which are 10 points higher.
Monks with the Shintao Monk I enhancement can bypass Byeshk damage reduction with unarmed attacks.
