Align Fang
Name: | Align Fang |
---|---|
School: | Transmutation |
Spell Level: | Blc 2, Drd 2 |
Components: | SomaticSomatic: A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot move causing arcane spell failure resulting in a ruined spell. Spells without a somatic component may be used with disregard to Arcane Spell Failure chance. Note - that characters make the same arm gestures for most spells in DDO, so you can't tell which spells require this component by watching your character's animations., VerbalVerbal: A verbal component is a spoken incantation. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot act or speak. Certain rare spells, such as Silence Creature, may temporarily disable spells that require verbal components., MaterialMaterial: A material component is one or more physical substances or objects that are annihilated by the spell energies in the casting process. You must have the required items in your inventory. If you run out of the components, the game will not allow you to cast the spell and will instead inform you of what component is missing. The metamagic feat Eschew Materials and some enhancements in Draconic Incarnation can remove this restriction. |

Description
Your target's natural weapons gain the ability to bypass alignment based damage reduction of your choice. Lasts 1 minute per caster level. Only works on players, hirelings, or pets, and only if they are Animals, Vermin, Magical Beasts, Dragons, or Fey. An time can have only one temporary item enchantment at a time.
Notes:
- Shifters are affected by this spell because they are counted as an Animal.
- Druids are immune to the casting of this spell when in Hive Keeper (Hybrid), Thorn Kin (plant), Thorn Knight (plant) or Blighted Wolf (plant) and not wild shaped. This however can be bypassed by using the bug below.
- Bug: Despite the in-game description, the bypass will continue to work in any form as long as the spell was initially cast as one of the listed creature types. This means any druid can cast this spell as an animal form (such as Wolf), change forms (such as not wildshaped), and still benefit from the effects of the spell.
